You are my day and my night. You are the golden rays of sunlight and the silver streams of moonlight that light my way through the darkest of times....you are my dreams when I sleep at night...my hopes when I wake the next day.
Sometimes...when I find myself alone in this cold cold world...when I'm lying awake at night, staring at my dark ceiling, I think of you...and I can't help but smile in awesome wonder. I pinch myself every morning and every night, pondering how in the world I could be so lucky as to have found someone like you. Someone, who against all odds, continues to hold my heart in their arms at night. I've been waiting so long...wanting, wishing, dreaming, and praying....for someone like you.
You are my angel and my devil. My joy and my sorrow. My courage and my fear. My greatest strength, and my greatest weakness. I live for you and I would die for you. For you are my heart. And without you...I would not live.
Forgive me....for my stupidity, my anxiousness, my forgetfulness, and my clumsiness. I am stupid because I am dumbfounded by your continued presence at my side. I am anxious because I cannot express my feelings for you in a way that satisfies my heart. I am forgetful because I cannot think of anything else but the countdown until I hear your sweet voice again. And I am clumsy, because every day I'm with you is another day I fall for you all over again.
You are my diamond in the rough. You are my star in the night sky. You are the twinkle in my eye when I wake up each day. You are the smile that never leaves my face and the tears that I shed when you're in pain. You are the warmth I carry with me in the coldest of times, and the wind beneath my wings.
When I found you, I found something to protect.
You are my princess.

Um....yeah... So this is my first ever piece of poetry. I mean...would you even call this poetry? I dunno...I don't know much about poetry.  Not a whole lot to say... (is really too embarrassed/shy to say much) ....I wrote this completely spontaneously because I received a heavy dose of...inspiration....  No, it's nothing like that! >.< Pervs... It's love.  *blushes* Yeah....I said it....you all read it right. And I'm not afraid to admit it. ^_^ I'm in love. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who with.
